As part of the Livelihood Support Scheme, loan assistance has been provided by the SWOAD organization to 9 selected members from the Sammanthurai area to enhance their self-employment. This event took place on June 12, 2024, at the SWOAD Sammanthurai area office under the leadership of the area manager, Ms. S. Jathursha. The principal of Malwaththa Sirupadhadevi Vidyalayam, Mr. Ananthan Sathananthan, also attended as a guest and shared thoughts on the importance of self-employment in the current context, as well as benefits related to home gardening, and distributed the cash assistance.
